I spoke with António and Agripina Antunes, founders of the traditional dance group "As Lavadeiras do Rio Almonda", who still share memories of the places where the washerwomen worked.

I also had the generous opportunity to hear from Noémia de Deus Pereira, who also had the experience of living with her mother washing clothes alongside other washerwomen on the river banks that cross their village.

From this arises a sharing of knowledge and memories, openly and humbly shared by the three.
