The visuality and aesthetics of the short film offer sound the freedom to create a sound experience, where the presence and absence of sound are fundamental to the creative process.

The presence of sounds is used to create ambience. Gathering sounds and transforming them. In opposition, the absence of sounds is used to create emotion and tension, giving greater focus to the text.

For scenes originating in the forest, the sound is embellished through the use of realistic bird sounds, which in post-production are worked on and transformed, despite not losing their realistic tone. The aim is to create an unfamiliar and surrealistic environment, which is produced by specially chosen sounds, such as the “liquid pouring” sound, which is transformed through changes in speed and pitch. In addition, the soundtrack appointments are produced by monotonous melodies played by synthesizers.

This work of transforming the sound and building a soundscape/soundtrack was valuable in order to create an identity for the scenes with spatial and surreal environments.
